Happy Tuesday all!
So straight to the point- it is wedding crazy season! Last week, I attended a friend’s wedding in Wexford. It really seems to be the season for weddings, each time I log on to Facebook people are uploading loads of snaps from wedding they have been attending.
I always love seeing what people wear hence why I wanted to share last week’s look with you!
Firstly, starting from the top- my head piece. The piece I wore was a Whitely London head piece.
For any wedding or race day I have coming up I pay a visit to Faith Amond in Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow. Faith has a huge array of hats and accessories to rent. This lady has won best dressed numerous times, and has a great eye for creating looks! If you would like to get in touch with her drop me an email (sineaddebutleir@gmail.com).
The Whitely London head pieces have regularly been worn by Kate Middleton. Faith also rents Philip Tracey, another hugely popular brand and as well as all this she makes her own pieces! Below are some snaps of hats I have worn from Faith over the last few years.
I opted for this particular piece as it was ‘soft’ against the dress. There was a lot of detail within the dress so I wanted to keep the head piece as simple as I could.
Next to my dress. If you follow me on Snapchat (@sindebutleir), you’ll know I was I two minds about what to wear. I eventually decided on a dress which I had purchased 5 years ago!!!
I had worn this only once and had bought it for the Rose of Tralee when I took part in 2011. This dress is one I call – timeless. While it was expensive at the time, it’s one which hasn’t dated and can be taken out of the wardrobe again and again for any outing. First and foremost I just love the soft baby blue colour of this dress.
This brand dress is Fee G, created by an Irish designer Fiona Heaney and her partner! I love how deviating this dress is- from the silver collar to the contradicting ruffle finish and the large sleeves. The dress was bought in Serendipity Boutique Kilkenny (http://serendipityboutique.ie/).
If you are looking to invest in a piece which will not date and is really unusual check out this fabulous Irish designer. Other stockists of this brand can be found on their website (http://feeg.ie/about-us-page-2/).
Next to my shoes, to be honest I loved the look of the shoes when I bought them (from Shuch). I bought these back in February, they were reduced to €13 in their sale. I do love these shoes and they look incredible on but they are so hard to walk in! 😂 As they say – no pain no gain!
Anyway I wanted to keep the colour and look as simple as possible again as my dress was my focus point.
Lastly to finish the look I added a simple nude clutch purchased from Penney’s a while back for just €13! One can’t go wrong with a couple of nude clutches in their wardrobe for completing outfits- all colours, it is so compatible!
So there is my look, remember when you have a lot of detail in a dress it’s good to keep the rest of your look as simple as possible. Opt for soft neutrals and light pastel colours too as they have been huge this Spring/Summer!
Don’t forget to say hello on Snapchat @sindebutleir!
Happy Shopping,
Sinead ❤
