My October Favourites πŸ’„πŸ‘

Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a good weekend.

If you are following on Snapchat (@sindebutleir) you will know my October was a hectic month as regards new product launches and events. I have a couple of absolute favourites that I have been using this month.

Bryt Skincare.

I was honoured to have attended a very heart felt event a couple of weeks ago. The skincare range “Bryt” has just landed in Ireland. It was brought here by a gorgeous couple Simon and Ciara, who went out of their way to thank and greet everyone at the launch. The founder – Catkin Wemyss-Bodmer established this skincare brand in the UK, inspired by her grandmother who from a young age who tauggt Catkin about the importance of looking after your skin. Bryt skincare cater for both men and women and have a range of products to choose from!

The immediate thing I noticed bout this skin range is how eye-catching the packaging is!

Following the launch, I was kindly given the calming serum to review. I have been using this product daily for the last few weeks. I apply the calming serum to my face and neck usually after a hot shower when my skin is red or tender. I also apply it after removing heavy duty make up. Afterwards I apply a moisturiser. The serum is quick drying and melt into the skin within seconds.

What is great about this skin care brand is affordability. As Catkin said at the event “everyone should be able to afford skin care” and she is right! This bottle is 30mls (perfect for travelling), and costs just €24.95.

I always look for ‘natural’ingredients when choosing my skincare brands. Bryt ingredients include powerful superfruits from the Australian outback as well as Aloe Vera, a component essential for complexion and healing (especially for those prone to Acne). I am dying to try some more of this range. Especially their cleansers and moisturisers.  You can purchase Bryt in pharmacies including Mc Cabes, Sam McCauleys and Shaws.

Uriage Thermal Water

First things first I am new to this brand, and this is my first time to try any of their products.  I kindly received their Thermal Water spray. The brand Uriage orginates from the France, like a lot of French skincare brands they prove to be top notch and great quality. There is a huge amount of product is this for the price it retails at. The largest bottle (300ml) costs just €14. 50.

As many of you know, my full time profession is nursing, the uses of this product caught my eye immediately. I have found that some facial sprays irritate the eye or inner nose. This spray is ‘isotonic’ meaning it has an optimum PH (i.e. it is neutral) on the skin.  Doctors have even used this spray as it can help with burns and psoriasis! This water contains healing agents, which will help with a break out or irritation.

Where I work air con and constant heating can make my skin dry, a spray of this is a treat at the end of the day. I have used it on no make up days for a dewy look. As recommended I even tried this to calm redness after waxing my eyebrows! This product has multiple uses and it really is a handy one to have either in your handbag or by your bedside. It can be purchased from most pharmacies nationwide. If you fancy just trying a smaller size you pick one up for a fiver for 50mls. You won’t be disappointed!

NYX Matte Lipstick & Wonder Pencil

I love the NYX make up brand. Last week I was sent their matte lipstick in the shade ‘butter’.

I LOVE nude lippies. This is dark nude which can be worn day or for a night time look. I am always slightly cagey about matte lipsticks as they generally dry out really quick and end up looking patchy. Surprisingly  this lippie has a matte finish with a moisturising effect. Regular top up is required however. Bearing in mind this lippie is just €7.49 you are getting pretty good quality for your money.

Wonder Pencil

This really is a wonder pencil, with numerous uses. I have used this (shade medium) as a lip liner before applying the matte lipstick. I use it to help arch and shape my brows and I have used this as an eye liner to help brighten dull eyes – especially handy when on night duty. This pencil retails at €5.75 and in my opinion is a must have for your make up bag.

Teeth Whitening

I White Kit.

During October I also got to trial the I white kit. I love me my coffee and I sometimes I find it dulls my teeth. I white strips contain 2 pre filled syringes in each pack, allowing for application to upper and lower teeth.  The paste helps in strengthening teeth rather than damaging enamel when whitening. These strips should be used in succession, as indicated. They should be used day after day for optimum effect and longevity. For me I noticed a brighter look after the first go. I loved this product and would recommend these strip to anyone who is looking for a brighter smile! These can be purchased on iwhite.ie or Cloud10beauty.com and cost €29.95. (http://www.iwhite.ie/

You can also purchase the iwhite toothpaste to help maintain brightness., which I have used in between. This retails at β‚¬9.50. (http://www.iwhite.ie/buy-now/iwhitetoothpaste).
All in all I was thrilled with these products! I love supporting a brand / product which does what it says on the tin!

Sinead ❀
