Hi everyone! Apologies about the recent lack of blogging. It has been a crazy few weeks what with getting a new job and being part of the “Me, Myself & Oasis” vlogging competition which is currently being aired on TV 3’s Xpose.
I’m really excited to be moving to Dublin to start a new job and look forward to nursing in the private sector!
This week I decided to challenge myself again and put a look together for under β¬50. I blogged about this recently and it proved to be really popular! This look is easy to wear, comfortable and includes some of this year’s autumn/winter trends.
Some hate them, some love them (I love them) and whether or not we like it the fedora hats are HUGE this autumn/winter!
When I was younger I loved to dress up, it seems the fedora hat was popular then too! π
The fedora hats are available to buy nationwide, you can pay as little or as much as you like for them. I picked mine up in Penneys for β¬10, you can also buy them in a brown shade.
To brighten this look I added a sharp blue long sleeved top, also purchased in Penneys. These are really cosy, easy to wear and are available in numerous colours for just β¬4.
Aztec design is also huge this autumn/winter. This Aztec design skirt caught my eye in Heatons! It is a Mystify label available for β¬20. What I love about this skirt is the selection of colours. You could match a red or mustard top to this and change the look each time you wear it!
Aztec is distingushable by it’s pattern, here the focus of the look is the skirt. When wearing Aztec be sure to keep the rest of your ensemble simple.
Lastly to my boots. I’m breaking rules here, but fashion rules are made to be broken! There is black in parts of my skirt and I also have black tights, but I personally love brown on black! These boots are a steal for just β¬15.99, I could not believe it when I saw them in Lidl! No lie when I say there are like wearing slippers, super comfy!
When shopping it’s important to remember value for you money. When I shop I always try and purchase a statement piece that I can wear from day to night. Here I have completely changed the look to a dressier, night-time look.
I added a simple black strap top (we cannot have enough of these in our wardrobes, especially handy for over jeans!), available for β¬4 from Penneys.
I mentioned this clutch in a recent blog. This is also from Penneys for β¬7. A simple black clutch is another must have for your wardrobe.
I always add bling and accessories to an outfit as they can really dress it up. This neck piece caught my eye in Shutterbug (Folkster), I purchased this for in or around the β¬15 mark. The black material is leather like and really unusual, I have got loads of wear out of this. Shutterbug (Folkster) are based in Kilkenny city and are well worth a visit!
Last but not least my shoes <3! I am in LOVE with these! I generally don’t wear a lace up high heel as they tend to make my legs looks shorter, however with the pointed toe on this shoe it contradicts the lace and elongates your legs! π These were bought on sale for β¬7 in Penneys!
So there you have it, two completely different looks for under β¬50. It is well worth shopping around, as there is always a bargain to be found! π
Happy Shoppping,
SinΓ©ad.
I love those patterned skirts! I always am drawn to them and then have the worst time trying to find a top to match!
